My work is based on the relationship between simple mechanical structures and the collective, almost organic structure that arises when many things gather in one place, when small parts assemble and fall apart.People, as well as the city they live in, are in a state of motion and repetition, a repetition which some people are comfortable with and some are not, but in which they all leave their mark and become part of the history of the city, whether they go along with traffic and the hours of the day or stray to create something of their own, or whether they are located in the junctions of the flow or seek out places that are hardly ever visited.
With my work I aim to portray the city as a manufactured organism and demonstrate the potential each individual has to make a change.
Mitt arbete utgår från relationen mellan den mekaniska enkla strukturen och den kollektiva, nästintill organiska, struktur som bildas när alltför många samlas på en plats. När små delar bygger upp och faller isär.
Både människor och staden där de bor befinner sig i rörelse och upprepning. En upprepning vari vissa trivs och vissa inte, men där alla gör ett avtryck, blir en del av stadens historia oavsett om de följer trafiken, dygnets timmar eller avviker och gör något eget. Oavsett om de befinner sig i flödets knytpunkter eller uppsöker platser som nästan aldrig besöks.
Med detta arbete vill jag uppvisa staden som en manufakturerad organism, och påvisa den potential den enskilde människan har till förändring.
