I live next to a corridor

I have embraced the challenge of raising the quality of living for elderly residents in nursing homes or care homes.

Moving from one’s private home to a nursing home or care home means moving to a safe and secure home. But for many it is also a great sorrow to move from the home one has spent many years building up. The new living quarters need therefore to give a signal that one is moving on into a new and positive phase of one’s life. The physical environment must stimulate the senses in a positive way, signalling care, creating security, happiness and well-being, and conveying a feeling of belonging.

This project is limited to the corridor as an area that is a common spatiality as well as being an individual one. It should provide as good preconditions as possible for positive encounters between people and for the well-being of the residents.
