Jakob Solgren
The point of departure for my artistry is reflections and associations connected with identity, background and social structures. I work using an artistic process in which acting freely and associatively is central. It is a kind of investigation into my inner being that is manifested in the exterior. I work on a single object/sculpture and with thoughts concerning it that arise during this process. I study what the objects have in common, how they relate to each other and to the space around them.
Mitt konstnärskap utgår från funderingar och associationer kring identitet, bakgrund och sociala strukturer. Jag arbetar med en konstnärlig process där det fria och associativa görandet är centralt. Det är en slags undersökning av mitt inre som manifesteras i det yttre. Jag jobbar med det enskilda objektet/skulpturen och tankar kring det som uppstår i den processen. Jag studerar vad objekten har gemensamt, hur de förhåller sig till varandra och till rummet.
